    The elegant Ardo Hotel Townsville is nearly a 25-minute walk from The Strand and has a heated swimming pool and a gym. Located within reach of a family-friendly spot such as Reef HQ Aquarium, this 5-star hotel has 131 rooms within walking distance of a ferry port.

    The hotel has an excellent setting 2.4 km from Kissing Point Fortification. The Ardo is around 500 metres from The Ville Resort-Casino and approximately 10 minutes by car from Townsville 400 Racetrack Start. Nature lovers will appreciate proximity to the lush botanical park "Queens Gardens", which is 2.5 km away.

    The air-conditioned rooms are equipped with a private safe, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, along with a mini-fridge-bar. There are spacious bedrooms and private bathrooms with a separate toilet and a shower provided. Featuring a separate toilet and a shower, the bathrooms also have hair dryers and bath sheets. The rooms offer views of the sea.

    The restaurant is open daily for breakfast. Marmor, an onsite restaurant, is open for dinner. The pool bar features seafood and steaks. It offers a lounge, and overlooks pool views. There is a restaurant serving Chinese food 550 metres away.

    During my recent stay at Ardo, I was absolutely captivated by its modern, minimalist design and stunning ocean views. The rooftop pool was a highlight, offering a breathtaking panorama that perfectly complements the tranquil vibe. I traveled with a couple of fellow marine biologists, and we thoroughly enjoyed the on-site restaurants, especially the buffet breakfast that catered superbly to our dietary needs-an absolute gem for us ocean lovers! The spacious suite was not only stylish, but also equipped with air conditioning and a coffee machine for that much-needed morning pick-me-up. I appreciated the attention to detail, like the rainfall showerheads in the bathrooms, which added a touch of luxury to our stay. The friendly staff was always there to assist, whether it was with room service or tips for exploring nearby Magnetic Island. Ardo is a fantastic spot if you're seeking a blend of relaxation and modern comfort in a beautiful Caribbean setting!
